;   dinner

you know, people surprise sometimes. even themselves.

i just had dinner maybe 5 mins ago, and when i was at the table, my sis was getting her rice & settling down (with chicken curry and sauce in her plate) i arrived at the table later than her, so after she got her stuff, i took my rice and began taking the veggie & dipping my spoon in the pot of curry for potatoes and an ideal piece of chicken.

when i lifted my spoon to check the other pot of curry, i dipped into another pot to search for my chicken. and started twirling around the soup ever so gently to find chicken. my sis started to uh..make noise/yelp/etc..cos she cut her chicken (and made that clacking noise as her spoon whacked her plate), causing the sauce on her plate to splash into her eyes.

she went to the toilet and dad turned and asked me if i did it to her. he had that laughter-look (as though it was a joke and i did it on purpose). i was taken aback and surprised at that absurd qn, i turned my head towards him and raised an eyebrow (in surprise, of course).

then he got angry. went on about me being sensitive etc..yadda yadda and started scolding me for..nothing really. he said that it was a neutral qn, not accusing me of anything etc.

kinda far-fetched isnt it? what started as an accident (which had nothing to do with me) ended up as me getting a lecture on being sensitive. it was really obvious that she did that to herself and it had nothing to do with me. i wanted to rebut him and tell him 'look who's talking about being sensitive.' fyi, he has always been more giving and tolerant and protective towards my sis) - theres a word to describe this. i had nothing to say towards that - got used to it alr.

but i kept my mouth shut. the only words i said throughout his lecture about me being sensitive is "i did not". with that i left to sit at my seat..and then dad continued to eat with a frown on his angry face. (before dinner, he was laughing and joking, talking about a trip and him craving for duck rice)

after around 3 min of silence and frowns, he started talking to mum again. about work-related stuff. he was joking and smiling again.

disbelief. i knew that my dad's frequent mood swings and outbursts of anger wasn't a coincidence. fortunately (or not), i realised i wasnt the only one who had such problems too. im glad my friend pointed that to me and told me about his own experience.

if it was me 3 years ago, i would be angry, angsty and running up the stairs in anger(even skipping dinner). today, i sit here, in front of the comp..just feeling sorry for him, amused at the thought and nearly apathetic. im surprised at myself, actually.

i get more boring when i age, do i?

;   im home.

hello!
i've been camping out at home after we came back from our hols. com was occupied sometimes so i tried to occupy myself with the tv. grey's anatomy to be exact. i dugged out this copy of dvd we bought in china. haha the irony. yeap. i realised that the songs they play are really nice. :) its a pity some of the characters i like are leaving the next season. yeah, george i think. at least izzy's still around. but it wont be the same without george. hmm..im such a tv freak am i.

im listening to coldplay's leftrightleftrightleft album. its avail on their site. :) basically a collection of live tracks, including my favourite. haha i dont think anyone knows what's my favourite track from them. hint: its not viva la vida (which is currently playing) but yea i think its a nice song too. ;)

i think everyone's pretty bummed out over the flu situation. it seems to be getting worse since it was first discovered on the other side of the world. i guess people need to start learning that handkerchiefs and tissue paper are not 'invented' for us to 'chope' seats. i thought of some people i met on the tour who were really...xyz. loud, rude and unhygienic. i wonder if anyone knows which country im referring to. if you know what im talking about, hmm let's just keep it to ourselves yea. (just so you know, its one of those countries that is rather affected by this flu & the prev major outbreak thingies back in '03) sis was saying that it may have occured cos they happen to spit alot of saliva out when they talk loudly. acc to 2 sisters & 4 eyes, our guide (who was from that country originally) spat out alot. haha his english was really amusing. just ask my sisters. :X

been waking up at 5+ am these few days. its like part of my body clock. i wake up around the same time.. to pee or sth. lol. clock's pretty screwed up. :\ not very good. mum tells me she wakes up at 3am. thats so much worse. i think its the same time some of my friends sleep at. oh wells. :\

the night sky was really nice yest. i could see the whole cloud (yes, they were whitish against the brown sky) i told a friend about it, and he was like "yeah, the sky is dark" haha. i guess it matters which part of the country you stay in. i liked it though. :)

i kinda miss smsing a friend. got quite used to msging this friend whenever i got bored. (which was rather often. + exams = worsened) im glad someone's willing to listen to whatever rubbish i talk. haha i know i can be rather irritating (& too chatty. Just look at this blog entry) sometimes. okay. maybe more than just sometimes. but uh..you get me. i guess im just too eager to share my thoughts.

i was thinking like half an hour ago about a question..is there anyone who truly gives without expecting anything in return? hmm i doubt so. what about you?

im prob asking a rhetorical qn. but im just gonna ignore that. zz.
take care yea, folks. whoever's reading this, holler so i know you're around ;)

xoxo.

;   some pics for a change

guess what! i had every intention to put orange for my braces but i chickened out. reason being it was really orange.. like bright-look-at-me orange. SO. yea. i chickened out..

not literally.. but yea. i meant to put roasted chicken instead. but i figured a sub would be nicer. :) ahh.. oven roasted chicken is NICE. at least to me. im hungry yea. i wont deny that.. hmmm makes me lem for roast beef too. yummy <3 starbucks + cake + subwaymeal.. OOH.

thing is. i had to choose another colour.. and my eyes travelled to the greens beside the orange (was looking for teal but then it wasnt there, boo) there was a dark green and a light green.. guess which one i picked?

here's a hint:

haha yes, the light green!
after checking it out in the mirror after he was done, i thought of this! its the scent i intend to buy when i head for the airport soon. yeappp! so excited :) ah now that you're reading it, please do not buy the same scent as me okay. hahah i prefer it to be a lil more personalised. :X but i think its lucky that my friends prefer the sweet scents that i dont quite enjoy spraying onto myself. hahaha!

Speaking of perfumes, i was at Sasa while-ing away time when i saw a bottle of lanvin eclat 30ml going for 20% off. so its about $47. i thought it was pretty nice smelling :) (had a sample of it from a magazine) hehe i love perfume sample vials.. maybe i should start collecting miniature perfumes! but its kinda exp... :(

this is the 30ml one. haha i picked this pic on purpose cos of its size. x)
i think its a good deal, you girls can check it out if you like :)

gonna stop writing this entry soon. the mouse is kinda wonky so i dislike moving the cursor about. :<
take loads of care and drink plenty of water!

till next time ;0
